This month over at the Scrapping Everyday Miracles blog, design team member Christy gave us the challenge to create a project about a Husband/Wife relationship, and the scrap twist was to not use any patterned paper (ugh--that one was really tough for me!!)
Here's the project I created...
This will sit on the desk in my craft room...I love it!
Since I couldn't use any patterned paper, I used labels, tags, washi tape and stamped on a strip of card stock (the herringbone pattern) instead.
I also did a layout...but on this one I DID use patterned paper (this was the first project I created, till I realized I'd forgotten the twist of using no patterned paper...and well, there was no going back...but I still wanted to share it with you:)).
What's really cool is that Ellie (7 years old) took these photos of Pete & me...she's a much better photographer than I am!! And this page about us will go in her scrapbook:).
These both turned out amazing Cara! Love the layout and your second project with the burlap to sit at your desk. Love all the texture and the patterns and colors you were able to introduce with the use of washi tape and labels! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous projects. Such a great idea to use the burlap!! Your daughter is a wonderful photographer!! What a blessing to have a happy family!! ~ Blessings, Tracey
